Helen Smyth

Vice President of Operations

As Vice President of Operations for Franklin, Helen uses her skills in learning systems design, program design and delivery, coaching and leadership to help more people into great jobs through apprenticeships. Helen has worked in education and corporate learning for 25+ years, in the UK, China, Malaysia, Poland, Spain and the USA.

From roles in higher education, to large global corporates and small firms, she has always endeavored to find ways to help others reach their potential through learning.

Before joining Franklin, Helen founded and led the Learning Products and Experiences team at Sainsbury’s in the UK, a national supermarket chain and financial services organization with over 180,000 employees. There she designed and implemented a new, Agile approach to learning content production and created tens of millions of individual learning opportunities for colleagues each year.

Outside of work, Helen is passionate about fitness, especially running and skiing, travel and good food (not necessarily in that order!).
