Marketing Specialist

Position Summary

In this dynamic role, you’ll be an independent contributor playing a key role in driving demand for our business. You’ll develop and execute a variety of marketing initiatives to generate brand awareness, leads, and new customers for our growing sales team. You’ll be a “roll-up-your-sleeves” person who likes to dive in and discover what works to create growth for a small and growing, successful organization.

What you need to do

  • Content Marketing: Craft compelling content (blog posts, white papers, case studies, social media posts) that highlights our expertise and resonates with our target audiences across various industry sectors (financial services, banking, retail, technology, government, non-profit).
  • Social Media Marketing: Develop and manage engaging social media campaigns across relevant platforms (e.g., LinkedIn, Twitter/X) to increase brand awareness, drive website traffic, and generate leads.
  • Email Marketing: Create and execute targeted email marketing campaigns to nurture leads, promote programs, and drive registrations.
  • Campaign Management: Plan, execute, and measure the success of integrated marketing campaigns across various channels, with a focus on lead generation and brand awareness.
  • Event Marketing: Assist with event marketing initiatives by creating promotional materials and supporting lead generation activities at industry events (occasional travel required).
  • Marketing Automation, Intelligence & Analytics: Leverage marketing automation tools (Zoho) and AI to streamline workflows, manage leads, and track campaign performance. Use data insights to optimize marketing efforts and report on progress toward goals.
  • Digital Marketing & Partnerships: Implement effective digital marketing strategies to reach target audiences. Work with partners on co-marketing activities and demand gen efforts.
  • Content Management System (CMS): Manage and maintain content on the company’s WordPress website.
  • Collaboration: Build strong relationships with sales, operations, and other departments to ensure marketing efforts are aligned with overall business goals.

What you need to know and show

  • 2-4 years of experience in B2B marketing or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of content marketing, social media marketing, email marketing principles, and digital marketing strategies.
  • Proven track record of success in generating leads and brand awareness for B2B companies.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to tailor content for different audiences.
  • AI skills: Working knowledge of AI concepts and tools relevant to marketing, such as data analysis, customer segmentation, personalization, chatbots, natural language processing, and sentiment analysis. Ability to leverage AI to optimize marketing campaigns, generate insights, and enhance customer experience.
  • Analytical mindset with a demonstrated ability to track and measure marketing campaign performance using marketing automation tools (Zoho) and Google Analytics.
  • Experience working with a CRM system is a plus.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively, manage multiple deadlines, and navigate “death by a thousand small things” scenarios while focusing on high-impact initiatives.
  • Curiosity and a willingness to explore and experiment with innovative marketing trends and technologies, especially AI.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, diplomacy, and the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team (mostly remote with occasional travel for events, EST time zone).
  • Passion for education and technology skills development.
  • Other duties as assigned.
